Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about Project Tapestry, your results, and how your data is handled.
What is Project Tapestry?add
Project Tapestry is a free, personalized menopause insights platform designed to help you make sense of your experience and advocate for your health. It fills a long-standing gap in women’s health research by connecting individual stories to a broader understanding of menopause that reflects diverse experiences.
Is Project Tapestry a diagnostic tool?add
No. Project Tapestry provides informational insights based on self-reported data and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
How is Project Tapestry different from other menopause tools?add
Most menopause tools focus on symptom tracking or general education. Project Tapestry goes further by connecting your personal experience to a broader picture, showing you how your journey relates to women like you, while contributing to research that has historically left women out. It's personal and collective at the same time.
How long does the assessment take?add
Approximately 15–20 minutes, including both structured questions and open-ended responses about your experience.
What if I don't know my menopause stage?add
That’s totally okay. Many people aren’t sure where they are in their menopause journey. Based on your answers, your report will include insights that help clarify your likely stage.
What will I receive?add
A personalized Tapestry Report with insights into your menopause stage, symptom patterns, and treatment context, plus a Menopause Advocacy Toolkit with conversation guides for your provider and loved ones
Can I share my report with my doctor?add
Absolutely! That's exactly what it's designed for. Your Menopause Advocacy Toolkit includes tailored talking points and questions to help you feel prepared and confident going into that conversation.
Can I retake the assessment if my symptoms change?add
Yes. Menopause is a journey, not a single moment. If your experience changes, you're welcome to complete the assessment again to reflect where you are now.
How do I access my results?add
We'll email you a secure link to view your results. You can also download a PDF for future reference.
How long is my results link valid?add
The link expires after 24 hours and can only be used once. We recommend downloading your PDF right away for ongoing access
What data do you collect?add
Health data (age, symptoms, treatments, conditions), open-ended responses about your experiences, and your email address to deliver results.
How do you use my data?add
Your data generates your personalized Tapestry Report. With your consent, aggregated, de-identified data may also contribute to clinical research, product development, and better health solutions for women, areas that have historically been underfunded and underrepresented.
Is my data protected?add
Yes. Any data used is aggregated and de-identified. Your individual information is never shared without your consent.
